INZ (Immigration New Zealand) has started encouraging students to use the online system hereafter to apply for visas. They can be applied for through INZ or on campus or if the students are applying via online providers.
INZ spokesman was quoted by expatforum.com as saying that Immigration Online is quicker and also inexpensive when compared with a paper application and enables students to get eVisas. He added that they wanted students to get habituated to the online procedure as paper applications will be done away with in the near future.
The spokesman added that students would be informed by email as and when their application status had been decided. When decisions have to be viewed, applicants are needed to long onto their Immigration Online accounts.
