Information and Communications Technology - ICT category tech immigrants must take note of latest information hub – CANADA.AI. It is an information hub that showcases research and developments in the growing AI industry of Canada.

Canada. AI was recently launched at Tech TO in Toronto at Ontario. It was one of the largest crowds of the technology sector in Canada, as quoted by the CIC News. Canada.AI has been built chiefly by the NEXT Canada based at Toronto. It collaborated with other tech agencies such as Machine Intelligence Institute Alberta, Borealis AI, Institute for Advanced Research Canada, Institute for Learning Algorithms Montreal, Vector Institute and other tech agencies.

The hub sums up latest updates on development and research in AI in Canada. It serves as a directory of research institutes, organizations and firms focused on AI. It also offers information regarding AI events happening all across Canada.

CEO and Co-founder of Element AI Jean-François Gagné said that Canada is home to several of the most advanced AI firms and organizations. These are operational across the nation from Vancouver to Montreal. Collectively these can continue to push the limits of what Canada can achieve with AI. This will also serve to strengthen the position of Canada as the leading force in the AI industry, added Gagné.

Canada.AI will be specifically useful to ICT category tech immigrants with tech and AI expertise that are considering their options in Canadian provinces such as Ontario. Majority of the immigrants nominated by Ontario for Canada PR were the ICT category tech immigrants in 2017. These were led by the Designers and Software Engineers.

Human Capital Priorities Stream of the OINP opened solely for Express entry candidates with experience in 15 occupations related to ICT. This was in June 2017 and the minimum 400 CRS points requirement was waived in this instance.
