Hyderabad Police arrest 5 for Visa fraud

5 people were arrested by the Hyderabad Police for Visa fraud and it includes one person from Chennai. They were forging documents and official stamps to help individuals in obtaining Visas for the US, Canada, Italy, and France through deceptive means. It was found by the Police that the accused also altered the passports to help individuals in obtaining the required overseas Visas.

Anjani Kumar police commissioner of Hyderabad addressed a press conference in this regard. He said that following are the main accused:

•    A resident of Hussainialam - Mohammed Abdul Raheemuddin

•    A resident of Tappachabutra - Syed Oman

•    A resident of Falaknama - Mohammed Zaheeruddin

•    A resident of Golconda - Khaled Khan

•    A resident of Chennai - Mohammed Shaik Illiyas

The accused in the Visa fraud were caught based on a clue given by a distressed customer. The police have seized printers, scanners, 130 fake rubber stamps, 2 forged passports, 3 fake passports, and 88 Indian passports. Two of the accused Illiyas and Raheemuddin were repeated crooks said the Police Commissioner.

 

A B.Com graduate Raheemuddin had been running an illegal consultancy at Saidabad’s Sana Palace. His associate Khaled was running another at Golconda, as quoted by the Times of India.

 

Amjani Kumar said that the accused would assist the needy based on their shortcomings and requirements in getting an overseas Visa. They have processed 400 to 450 applications of individuals. Many of them were even successful in obtaining the required Visas, said the Police Commissioner.

 

The accused would prepare the forged documents and if required would even alter the data in the original Indian passport. They would then also book a slot at the Consulate of the overseas nation for the applicants.
