The Canadian Government kept up the high of 3,900 Canada PR ITAs in the newest Express Entry draw conducted on 29 October. The minimum CRS - Comprehensive Ranking System points in this draw were 442.
Y-Axis Immigration Expert Usha Rajesh said that a new record can be set this year even if IRCC maintains draw sizes at 3,900.
The latest draw was the 4th one after 5 September that 3,900 ITAs - Invitations to Apply were offered by IRCC. This remains the largest draw by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada in 2018.
The threshold CRS score in the 29 October draw was 2 points more than the previous draw. This was held on 15 October and had CRS score of 440, as quoted by the CIC News.
The rule of tie-break was used by IRCC even in the latest round. The time and date were 6.9.4 UTC and 16 October 2018. It implies that all candidates with 442 plus CRS score received the ITAs. Also, those who scored 442 and furnished their profiles prior to the specified time and date got the ITAs.
Express Entry candidates have diverse ways to enhance their CRS scores. It includes nomination from a province that results in 600 extra CRS points.
Majority of the Territories and Provinces in Canada have a PNP - Provincial Nominee Program. This permits them to nominate a specific number of migrants annually for Canada PR. Each PNP has at least 1 stream aligned with the Express Entry system.
PNP streams aligned with Express Entry were involved in 4 provincial draws in October. These set a new record for Canada PR ITAs offered in 2018. The streams are located in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Prince Edward Island.
