China, known for being a startup hub in the tech sector among expat professionals, has recently introduced the Entrepreneurship Visa. Thanks to the new Visa, China’s popularity is growing even more. It is now attracting expats to the established companies in the country. It is also encouraging them to quit their regular jobs and start their own businesses without any visa problems.
You may be legally working in China and now want to start something on your own. You can visit Shanghai’s K-Tech Hongqiao International Incubation Center for help, as quoted by the Times of India. You will not only receive help in terms of finance options but also a place to work, Company Registration and an Entrepreneurship Visa.
The Center’s Managing Partner Zhu Peiyi had a discussion with the Bureau for Shanghai’s Entry-Exit Administration. She said that the center consulted the Bureau and it resulted in Special Residency Permit to be now known as Entrepreneurship Visa.
To fulfill the increasing demand, the immigration office has started 25 schemes which aim at simplifying the Visa processing for expats. It also aims at branching out different types of visas for specific purposes. China looks to make it easy for those who have innovative ideas and would like to set up their own businesses within Shanghai. For now, the Entrepreneurship Visa is only piloted in few districts in Shanghai like Yangpu and Changning. The unique feature of this Visa is that it allows those who were initially excluded in other Visa categories.
If you are a foreign student who graduated from a higher education institute in China, you would be eligible for the Visa. Foreigners who are planning to either invest or innovate in Shanghai are also eligible.
