You can now get a 6-month Visit Visa for the UAE

You can now get a 6-month multiple-entry Visa Visa by applying to the Ministry of Interior, UAE. This 6-month Visit Visa would be renewable for another 6 months, said a Spokesperson from the FAIC.

 

The FAIC  Spokesperson clarified that the 6-month Visit Visa is for all categories of entrepreneurs and investors. It is also available to outstanding students and talented professionals who are interested in the long-term Residency Visas of the UAE.

 

The purpose of the long-term Visit Visa is to let these individuals explore the local markets in the UAE. It will also help them initiate the documentation process for their Residency Visas.

 

Applicants are not required to sign in as this facility is available as a public service. Applications for long-term Visas are being currently processed by Govt. Officials. This follows the Cabinet’s announcement of long-term 5-year and 10-year Residency Visas for certain expats on 1^st May.

 

The UAE will treat 6-month Visit Visa holders as residents. They will be issued Emirates ID Cards so that they can initiate and complete their investment procedures. The long-term Visit Visa to also complete any other transactions that might be necessary for their Residency Visas. These Visa holders would be able to get their long-term Residency Visas after they fulfil the requirements for such Visas.

 

Submitted applications for the long-term Visit Visa will be reviewed by a committee consisting of relevant Govt. authorities and Ministries, as per the Gulf News.

 

The Committee will be responsible for deciding whether the submitted applications meet the eligibility conditions or not.

 

There is no specific quota for this Visa. Any number of applications will be accepted provided the applicants to meet the set standards and conditions.

 

The FAIC announced three new Visa services on 15^th May:

• A 6-month multiple-entry Visit Visa for investors to complete the Residency requirements needed for investors
• A 6-month multiple-entry Visit Visa for both outstanding students and entrepreneurs
• A 6-month single-entry Visa Visa for completing Residency formalities for talented professionals

Since the announcement was made, the UAE had received more than 6,000 applications in the first 15 days.
