The fresh Express entry draw held on 9th May has maintained the low Canada CRS score at 441. 3,500 Canada PR Invitations to Apply were offered by this draw to candidates in the pool. The previous draw held on 25th April also had the Canada CRS score of 441. It also offered 3,500 Canada PR invitations to eligible candidates in the Express entry pool, as quoted by the CIC News.
The 3,500 Canada PR invitations offered on the May 9th bring the total number of ITAs issued in 2018 to 28,000. This draw was also the third in 2018 to offer 3,500 Canada PR ITAs. The preceding 6 draws earlier this year offered ITAs between 3,000 and 2, 750.
It must be observed here that 7 of the first 9 draws of 2017 had offered more than 3,500 ITAs for Canada PR. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has set the admissions target for 2018 and 2019 that will surpass the intake for 2017. This will result in either expansion of the Express entry draw sizes or frequent draws being held in the months ahead.
As has been witnessed off late, larger draws are having an effect of decreasing the Canada CRS score or keeping it lower than the draws that were smaller.
The rule of tie-break was again utilized by IRCC in this draw as well. The time and date for the May 9th draw were 01:51:38 UTC and 12th December 2017. It implies that all candidates who scored above 441 in CRS received the invites. Also, all those who scored 441 and submitted their profiles prior to specific time received the ITAs. The latest draw is also one among the largest for 2018.
