From 15th July 2019, the FAIC (Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship) will waive the Tourist Visa fee for children under 18. These children should be accompanied by their parent while travelling to the UAE.
This announcement is in line with a previous Cabinet decision issued in July last year. The decision stipulated that Tourist Visa fee would be waived off for under 18 Tourists between 15th July and 15th September every year.
The waiver condition is that the children should be accompanied by their parents irrespective of their Visa validity.
The FAIC has called on visitors to the UAE to take advantage of this waiver. The waiver will not only help tourists save money but also choose the UAE as a holiday destination.
Director Gen. of Foreign Affairs, Major General Saeed Rakan Rashidi has said that tourists can apply for the visa through the ICA UAE smart app. They can also apply for the same through their website, as per The Gulf News.
The UAE issues two different types of Tourist Visas. One Tourist Visa has a validity of 30 days and can be extended twice for 30 days each. The Visa fee for the 30-day Tourist Visa is Dh 200 for a single-entry Visa.
The other Tourist Visa is valid for 90 days and can be extended twice for 30 days each. The Visa fee for this is Dh 550. The visa fee for extension is Dh 600.
