Fortune's '40 Under 40' list for 2017 has five Persons of Indian Origin that includes Leo Varadkar the Prime Minister of Ireland in the list published by Fortune annually. It is a list of 40 influential and young people in the field of business that have inspired others through their work. These are young people below 40 years whom the Fortune magazine termed as ‘artists, rebels, innovators and disruptors’ that have been an inspiration for others. Emmanuel Macron the President of France tops the list being the youngest leader of France after Napoleon, as quoted by the New Indian Express. The 39-year-old leader won a landslide victory in the Presidential elections wiping out the generations old bi-party system that had ruled France. Persons of Indian Origin in the Fortune list include Divya Nag the 26-year-old who supervises the ambitious projects of Apple the Care Kit and Research Kit programs. These encourage the developers to create apps related to health. Shradha Agarwal and Rishi Shah who lead the tech firm Outcome Health are the other Persons of Indian Origin. This firm is operational from last one decade. Leila Janah the Founder and CEO of not-for-profit Sama-Source is also included in the Fortune list. Divya Nag is ranked at the 27th position in the list. The dropout from Stanford launched a start-up for stem cell research and launched a medical funds accelerator just at the age of 23 years. Agarwal and Shah are ranked at the 38th position in the list. Their firm has generated more than 500 million US Dollars and their valuation is more than 5 billion USD. Outcome Health has said that it has already equipped more than 40,000 offices of doctors with tablets and touch screens. Fortune said that these can deliver relevant medical information, adverts and meditation apps to the patients. Leila Janah has been ranked at the 40th position in the list. Fortune said that Sama-Source is creating revenue of 15 million USD for 2017. This will be done by appointing workers in Uganda, Kenya, India and other regions of the world that are underprivileged. They will function as distant freelancers in the tech sector.
