First Sikh lady MP in the UK joins crucial parliamentary committee

Preet Kaur Gill the first Sikh lady MP in the UK has been selected as a member of a powerful select committee of the Parliament. This select committee of the UK Parliament will analyze the work of the UK Home Office. The first Sikh lady MP of the Labor Party representing the Birmingham Edgbaston seat will be one among the eleven MPs cutting across party lines in the Home affairs committee. The committee ceased to exist with the dissolution of the UK Parliament and has now been reconstituted.
