About Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program

The Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program is for skilled workers who are willing to settle in the province. Most of the skilled workers and international graduates wish to migrate permanently to Quebec for work.

The invited candidates will have 60 calendar days to submit their applications and pay the processing fees. The province aims to process complete applications within six months, starting on the date they received the invitations.

The successful candidates will receive Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ or Quebec Selection Certificate), which can be used to apply for permanent residence to the Canadian federal government.

Quebec immigration programs are managed by the province, which is distinct from Canada’s federal programs.

Quebec immigration targets for 2022

Quebec released its 2022 immigration target in October 2021. Most of the newcomers are welcomed through the province’s economic immigration programs, including the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) and the Québec experience program (PEQ).

The province immigration plan aims to land 49,500 to 52,500 immigrants in 2022 across all immigration categories, as well as an additional 18,000 admissions to reach the admission levels, which means more than 70,000 newcomers are expected in the province of Quebec in 2022.
