Entrepreneurship and service of 3 Indian-Americans to be honored at Houston

Houston Entrepreneurship and orientation for community service of 3 Indian-Americans will be honored at Houston at the 18th yearly Greater Houston Indo-American Chamber of Commerce. They will be facilitated at the gala being held on August 26, 2017. The gala of the IACCGH is the biggest fundraiser and event of the year that is a witness to participation from elected officials, business magnets and guests and members of IACCGH. The Indian-Americans named for the honors include Marie Goradia for the award ‘Impact on Humanity’ and Swapnil Agarwal for the award 'Young Entrepreneur of the Year'. The award for 'Entrepreneur of the Year' will be given to Bal Sareen, as quoted by the Times of India. LyondellBasell CEO Bob Patel is the gala key note speaker and will be presenting the honors to the winners attended by a more than 700 attendees. Allen Richards the President of IACCGH announced the award winners. He said that the winners have been selected for outstanding achievements in the field of humanitarian service, entrepreneurship, and impact on Houston’s economic growth. Jagdip Ahluwalia the Executive Director of IACCGH termed the event as aimed at honoring people who have achieved success not individually but also for the community. It is intended to both thank as well as to update the community. One of the Indian-Americans Dr. Marie Goradia will be honored with the ‘Impact on Humanity Award’ for her promotion of worthy causes. This includes health care causes and education for underprivileged kids in India. CEO of Brask Inc Bal Sareen is also one among the three Indian-Americans who will be honored with 'Entrepreneur of the Year'. His firm is the leading manufacturer of heat exchangers and shell at Texas. Bal Sareen is also an industry expert on explosion liners and explosion expansion. Swapnil Agarwal the Managing Principal and Founder of Nitya Capital the real estate investment firm will be honored with the award ‘Young Professional of the Year’. From the year 1999 when it was founded IACCGH has been a crucial propellant in promoting economic ties between Indian and Houston businesses. This includes both large and small size corporations and harmonizing links between facilitative associations such as sister chambers in the US and India. The Chief Guest at the IACCGH gala will be Dr. Anupam Ray the Consul General of India in Houston. On the other hand, Ed Emmett the Judge of Harris County and Sylvester Turner the Mayor will be Guests of Honor. The event facilitates activities of the Chamber in promoting the growth of the businesses, creating jobs in Houston and bilateral trade between India and Houston.
