Australian travelers can now avail E-Visa from Brazil and the entire visa process from application to delivery now goes online. Thus there will be no need to personally visit the consulate anymore.
Marx Beltrão the Tourism Minister of Brazil launched the new E-visa for Australian travelers at a tourism event. He said that this is a great victory for Tourism in Brazil. Facilitation of visas is a cherished goal for the tourism sector, he added. This was also one of the initiatives advised by the World Tourism Organization to attract increased numbers of tourists, explained the Minister.
Caminhos Language Center Manager and Australian expatriate Bel Casson was jubilant over this announcement. It is great news for Brazil Tourism and gives easy access to Australian travelers who want to visit Brazil, he added. More travelers from Australia will now be attracted to Brazil, a beautiful nation to enjoy more surf, sand, and sun, said Casson.
As per the new fast-track visa process, visa applicants must furnish the details online at the designated website of the government. They must then upload the required documents and make payment of the visa fee. Upon approval of the visa application, the visa will be sent to them via e-mail within 4 days, as quoted by the Rio Times Online.
Government officials present at the E-visa announcement also revealed that the facility will soon be offered to the US, Japan, and Canada by the beginning of 2018. Brazilian Tourism Institute – Embratur President Vinicius Lummertz said that the move to offer E-visas will propel the failing Tourism industry in Brazil to success. It will also be crucial to bringing the nation out if its current financial crisis, he added.
