Dubai is an emerging world market, a global hub and a world-class city. No wonder the job market too is encouraging. The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has released statistics related to Dubai employment visas which say that Dubai has issued 206,770 work visas in the first quarter of 2015.
DHA has reported that this year the medical fitness department received a total of 496,721 applications for health checkups process, of which 206,770 were for new employment visas and the remaining 289,951 were for renewal of existing visas.
The Emirates 247 reported Maisa Al Bustani, the Director of Medical Fitness at the DHA, further giving the numbers said:
- 27,875 individuals opted for the four-hour VIP service
- 22,550 individuals opted for 24 hour express result option
- 93,549 opted for 48 hour option
The director also said that the authorities plan to set up two more centers medical fitness centers in this year. This will mainly help people get pre-employment certificate for employment in both private and government sector.
And apart from that certain professions too require occupational screening because of the nature of the job. The new fitness centers will perform both medical tests and also occupational screening.
