The 2018 Immigration plan has been revealed by Quebec revealing that diverse range immigrants will be accepted by the province. It will accept an extensive range of skilled professionals, business immigrants, refugees and family members of Quebec residents.
The immigration plan will be implemented during a transition period for Quebec. In this period Quebec intends to outline a fresh system for immigration intake. It calls this as a model of ‘declaration of interest’. This is similar to federal Express entry system that does not have the participation of Quebec province.
Quebec has revealed two crucial sets of statistics for diverse range immigrants in the plan. The first is the numbers of individuals that will be offered the CSQ - Quebec Selection Certificate. The second is the target numbers of individuals who will be accepted as fresh PR holders, as quoted by the CIC News.
The Quebec Selection Certificate is a document issued by the Quebec province. It declares that the individual has been chosen to settle in the province. The Quebec Selection Certificate authorizes the individual to submit the application for Canada PR.
In 2018 Quebec intends to offer 29,000 certificates through the skilled worker programs. It includes certificates offered through the Regular Skilled Worker Program. The certificates offered through the Quebec Experience Program are also included in these figures.
5000 new applications will be accepted through the Regular Skilled Worker Program. The intake period will end prior to 31 March 2018. Apart from these select provisional residents in Quebec could be qualified to apply for CSQ at any time. This also includes some individuals with a valid job offer.
In 2018 Quebec intends to offer 6000 to 4000 certificates to business immigrants.
