The types of German work visas are:
Germany Work Visa
Immigrants who arrive to work in Germany for general employment must apply for a Germany Work Visa which is also known as German Residence Permit. Applicants of this German visa must possess a permanent job offer in Germany and a vocational qualification.
You will have to give proof of your employment contract and qualifications along with the visa application. Germany Work Visa is usually approved for 12 months. It can be extended as long as you fulfill the eligibility criterions.
Germany Jobseeker Visa
Overseas graduate students possessing the degree from an accredited university can apply for the Germany Jobseeker Visa. They must possess adequate funds to support themselves during the 6 months validity of this visa. Overseas students can search for a job in Germany through this visa, as quoted by the Expatica.
Overseas students who graduate from a German university can extend the validity of their residence permit for 18 months and work unrestricted. They must, however, possess proof of their degree, adequate funds, and health insurance.
EU Blue Cards
Immigrants who intend to apply for an EU Blue Card in Germany will require:
EU Blue cards offer immigrants residence in Germany for 4 years. They are also eligible for permanent residency after 33 months.
