Delivery of FAN IDs offering visa-free arrival to overseas guests to Russia for FIFA World Cup 2018 has been commenced by the national postal service of Russia. It will also offer them access to stadiums. Fans in Russia who have been offered the FAN IDs will receive them via small parcel delivery, first class. FIFA World Cup is being held in Russia for the first time and is scheduled for summer 2018, as quoted by the RT.

Overseas football fans will receive their FAN IDs via small parcel delivery that is registered. When submitting an application on the FAN ID website, they can order this. National postal service of Russia is delivering FAN IDs to both overseas and Russian football fans free of cost.

Nationals of Russia can present their ID documents at the exclusive centers for postal distribution and collect their personalized FAN IDs. In order to get access to the stadiums, all fans are required to produce a valid ticket and FAN ID.

Overseas guests are offered visa-free arrival to Russia through the FAN IDs. It is valid for ten days prior to the opening match of the World Cup and 10 days after the final match. The system of FAN IDs was successfully tested at the 2017 Confederations Cup. It will also offer extra benefits to fans such as free of cost use of public transport between and within the cities hosting World Cup 2018.

The FIFA World Cup 2018 will be launched at the Moscow Luzhniki Stadium that has been newly renovated. The first match is scheduled on June 14 between Saudi Arabia and Russia. The entire tournament will be held across 11 cities in Russia across 12 stadiums.
