Just a month after opening a visa application centre in Bengaluru, the Czech Republic has set up another one in Chennai on 15 July. This is an indication that the ties between India and the Central European country are strengthening further. Two more visa application centres of the Czech Republic would open in the cities of Hyderabad and Kolkata soon, it was revealed.
Opened jointly by the VFS Global and the Czech Republic’s Embassy in India, it was inaugurated by Milan Hovorka, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to India. With the opening o this centre, citizens of Chennai applying for Schengen Visa would no longer have to travel to Bengaluru, Mumbai or Delhi. This is the fourth visa application centre of the Czech Republic in the country.
According to VFS Global, these centres will provide MICE, business and leisure travellers more accessibility to apply for visas. The Chennai centre is located in Ethiraj Salai, an arterial road in the city.
