Czech Republic’s Embassy in India along with VFS Global has opened its sixth Visa Application Centre in the Eastern metropolis of Kolkata.
It was inaugurated by Milan Hovorka, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to India, at a ceremony, where other important members from the Embassy of the Czech Republic and VFS Global were also present.
The other five existing visa application centres of the Czech Republic are located in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai, where one can apply for Schengen visas.
Speaking at the launch, Hovorka was quoted by the India Blooms News Service as saying that they were already able to open a centre in India’s sixth major city where applications for Schengen visa to the Czech Republic could be submitted and would be processed by VFS Global. He added that this was not the end of their efforts as they would be opening more visa application centres for the Central European country shortly in other places.
Vinay Malhotra, VFS Global COO – South Asia, said that they were pleased to improve the visa services network further in India for the Czech Republic.
He added that the Czech Republic was steadily gaining in popularity as it houses historical and beautiful cities such as Brno and Prague.
Malhotra said that they were confident of attracting more aspiring tourists to their country from Kolkata with the launch of professional and seamless visa services in India’s former capital city.
