Czech Republic Visa Rules The Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic has announced new “conditions for entry to the Czech Republic”. These will be valid from November 9, 2020. As per the official announcement, the “epidemiological measures and restrictions are applicable both to the Czech citizens returning to the Czech Republic and to all foreign nationals”. Countries are to be divided into three categories.
Green [On the list of countries with a low risk of COVID-19 transmission] Travellers – foreign nationals and Czech citizens – from these countries can enter without the need to
  • Undergo PCR test or quarantine
  • Fill in the Public Health Passenger Locator Form
Orange [On the list of countries with a low risk of COVID-19 transmission, specifically marked] Travelers from these countries might enter without the requirement of filling a Public Health Passenger Locator Form. Foreign nationals travelling to the Czech Republic for work or study will have to submit a negative PCR test result before they can enter their workplace or educational institution in the country.
Red [Not on the list of countries with a low risk of COVID-19 transmission, specifically marked] Travellers – foreign nationals and Czech citizens – from these  countries will have to
  • Fill in the Public Health Locator Form before entering
  • Undergo the PCR test or quarantine after entry
Note. – The list of countries is as per a notice of the Ministry of Health and will be including orange and green countries. As per the official statement, the evaluation of the EU+ countries was done in accordance with the EU Council recommendations. All countries not in the list shall automatically be considered to be red countries. These include countries outside the EU. Third-country citizens – that is, countries outside the EU – “continue to be banned from entry to the territory of the Czech Republic, apart from the listed exceptions, in accordance with the EU coordinated approach”. As the Crisis Measure restricting free movement within the Czech Republic is in force. Hence, besides the abovementioned conditions, travel to the Czech Republic is possible only in absolutely necessary cases. This will be applicable to arrivals from green countries as well.
