16 cities in India now have Cyprus Visa Application Centre after the launch of new VACs at Jaipur, Gurugram, Goa, and Thiruvananthapuram. These new centers have commenced operations from November 2017. The increase in numbers of VACs of Cyprus in India is a sign of enhancing ties in tourism and trade between both the nations.

 

Applicants in Thiruvananthapuram were until now required to visit Chennai for completing their Cyprus Visa Application Process. They now have the advantage of Cyprus Visa Application Centre in their own city. Additional services such as digital tracking services, courier services, and SMS updates are also available now, as quoted by the Travelbizmonitor.

 

High Commissioner of Cyprus to India H.E. Demetrios A. Theophylactou inaugurated the Thiruvananthapuram VAC. He said that it is a pleasure to inaugurate the VAC of Cyprus in the city. The new center has been opened timely keeping in view the increasing demands for visa and related services in Kerala.

 

High Commissioner of Cyprus added that the new VAC could be anticipated to further expand and offer enhanced services for visas. It would also enhance ties between people of both the nations and thus contribute to bilateral ties, said the High Commissioner.

 

The new VAC in Thiruvananthapuram caters to a crucial service with regards to offering information and instructions. It is useful for visa applicants intending to visit Cyprus for employment, study, business, and tourism purposes as well. For issuing efficient and timely visas, the new center will work in close partnership with the Consular Department of the High Commission.
