Until a few years ago, every Indian techie dreamt of migrating to the US. However, with US visa rules getting stringent day by day, this dream is getting tougher to realize.
Since 2017 the Trump Govt. has been making the rules for the H1B Visa stricter with every passing day. Rejection rates for the H1B Visa are at an all-time high. Wait times for the coveted US Green Card is also skyrocketing.
Indian techies, hence, are now migrating to other countries from Canada in the west to Japan in the east.
A large number of Indian techies are now migrating to Canada. Canada launched the Global Skill Strategy Program in 2017. The program aims to attract high skilled workers from across the globe. Indians are the biggest beneficiaries of this program.

2,000 Indian techies had applied for a Work Visa in Ireland in August 2019. Compared to 2018, this was a 37% increase. Indians received the highest number of Work Visas in Ireland in the last couple of years.
Japan has slowly been emerging as a favourite among Indian techies. It is soon finding its place as a preferred country for Indian IT companies and techies. Indian IT firms are increasing their investment in Japan. These firms are also investing in the Japanese language and etiquette training for their overseas workers.
Indian tech giant Wipro has invested in Japanese language training for its employees.
