Choosing the right Canada visa for your immigration pathway is the first most important step for you if you have decided to move to Canada. You have to decide between permanent and temporary residence visas. Both the major categories have diverse visas under them.
Temporary Visa

Canada PR Visa
You must apply for the Canada PR visa if you have decided to move to Canada permanently. Once you receive this visa, you are free to work in the occupation of your choice. You can also sponsor your spouse, parents, and grandparents to Canada in the future. It is again divided broadly into two categories:
Express entry
This is a system for application management for three national economic immigration programs of Canada. These are Federal Skilled Trades, Federal Skilled Workers, and Canadian Experience Class.
You have to first submit an EOI to enter the pool if you are qualified for one of the programs managed through the Express entry. After this, your profile will be ranked versus all other candidates in the pool. The candidates receive the ITA for Canada PR Visa if they are amongst the highest ranked.
Provincial immigration
Provincial Nominee Programs are operated by individual provinces in Canada. The application process and eligibility criteria are diverse for each program.
