Canada Canada’s most favored provinces have been aggressively welcoming overseas immigrants through their provincial nomination programs aligned with Express entry. Thus diverse candidates in the pool of Express entry are availing opportunities to receive a certificate of provincial nomination, quotes CIC News. Toronto in Ontario Province The Government of Ontario has declared that it will be offering Notice of attention that is equivalent as the ITA to the candidates in the Express entry pool on a weekly basis. The notice of attention will be offered in Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities category of the immigrant nominee program of Ontario. Human Capital Priorities category functions on a model that is passive. It is neither based on first served for the first arrival nor on the expression of interest. Having a minimum of 400 CRS points is one among the diverse requirements for this category. Skilled worker stream for French-speaking is also present in Ontario that is aligned with the Express entry scheme and is open at regular intervals of time. Saskatoon in Saskatchewan province The Immigrant nominee program of the Saskatchewan province reopened the renowned overseas skilled worker category in Express entry on May 16 offering 600 fresh applications. This program has reopened for the third time in 2017. Candidates who have made thorough preparations several months in advance are benefitted by this program and the applications usually get exhausted very quickly. Applicants are required to have work experience in a job that is in demand in Canada. The work experience can be outside of Canada and a job offer is not required. Nova Scotia The extremely renowned Nova Scotia Demand in the Express entry category started receiving applications in May 2017 for the first time since 2015. It has two categories in it. One of the two streams does not mandate the candidates to have an offer of the job. They must have a minimum of 12 months or equivalent part-time experience in a skilled work in the past 6 years from one among the 16 occupations identified by Nova Scotia. The second stream is popular as Express Entry - Nova Scotia Experience. The skilled applicants who have worked for a minimum of one year in Nova Scotia can transition to the permanent residency through this stream. Vancouver in British Columbia province 364 candidates received an invitation to apply for the provincial nomination certificate from the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program on May 10, 2017. Out of these 133 were from the category aligned with the express entry. Though this may appear to be a small number, one should note that this was the 8th draw for 2017. In every such draw, there have been invitees from the Express entry stream. British Columbia province also has the system of ITA similar to Ontario but the applicants also need to register themselves in the immigration management system of British Columbia before they receive the ITA.
