2-Year Diploma Courses that are succeeded by a Canada Work Visa are luring Indian students to Canada this year. As a result, increased numbers of Indian students are pursuing higher education in Canada.
Increased numbers of students from India are choosing to study in Canada owing to the diverse 2-year diploma courses. These courses are not only highly career oriented and specialized but also offer Canada Work Visa for 3 years, as quoted by the Hindu Businessline.
Immigration industry experts have said that Canada has emerged as one among the most favored higher education hub for higher education. Canada has been ranked as the second most favored destination for Indian students for higher education after the US. Australia is ranked 3rd followed by the UK at the 4th rank.
Industry experts have said that roughly 75,000 Canada Student Visas were obtained by Indian students in 2017. It is expected that these figures will go up to 1, 25, 000 for 2018.
Meanwhile, owing to hurdles for jobs after studies and immigration, the interest of Indian Students for the US is declining. They are now looking towards other destinations such as Canada, Ireland, and Australia. The outflow of students remains unchanged. It is just that the destinations have altered.
Spain, Netherlands, and Ireland are also amongst other nations that are attracting the attention of Indian students. This is owing to the job opportunities that they offer, organized marketing as well as promotion.
The most preferred courses among Indian students remain to be Hospitality, Engineering, Technology, Science, and Mathematics. This is owing to the job opportunities that they offer. Industry experts have also suggested that there is an increase in the numbers of students choosing Literature and Psychology for their overseas higher education.
