Below is the summary of news and events in immigration for Canada visa applicants that occurred in the last week:
2,750 Candidates received the ITA for Canada PR on 15 November Express entry draw which was the fourth draw of November. The candidates who received the ITA had minimum scores of 439 in Comprehensive Ranking System.
This was the second Express entry draw to operate under the new procedure of ‘tie-break’. This is when several candidates have same CRS scores and are tied. Under this scenario, profiles are ranked in order of the submission time and date. Profiles that are in the pool for a longer duration are given priority for ITA over latest profiles, as quoted by the CIC News.
Thus Canada visa applicants who scored 439 or more CRS points and were in the pool for a longer time at the time of draw received the ITA for Canada PR.
Manitoba government has restructured its Provincial Nominee Program and some of the changed provisions are effective to from 15 November 2017. The other changes will become effective in 2018. The first change that comes into effect from 15 November 2017 is the launching of new occupations list In-demand. This allows the MPNP to offer insights regarding the current business investments and labor market priorities. It will be of much benefit to potential applicants submitting EOI for MPNP.
The second change that comes with immediate effect is the renaming of MPNP – B as the Business Investor Stream. It will consist of two pathways - Farm Investor Pathway and the Entrepreneur Pathway.
