Canada Provincial Nominee Programs update for Mid-Summer

Canada Provincial Nominee Programs have had a bustling activity for midsummer, especially from Alberta, Manitoba, British Columbia, Nova Scotia and Ontario. The 2017 immigration levels plan for Canada aims to bring in 54,000 fresh permanent residents in this year itself. Overseas applicants with experience in select occupations were offered an ITA even if their score was less than 400 CRS points. Usually, only those candidates who score 400 or more points under CRS are invited by Ontario. Meanwhile, Ontario continues to accept applications under its other streams. These include options for entrepreneurs, graduates, tradespersons, and French speakers. Nova Scotia Nova Scotia Express Entry Demand stream one of the Canada Provincial Nominee Programs was reopened on July 5. This was welcomed by candidates of 16 target occupations. It includes jobs under Law, Social work, Academia, IT, Engineering, Health care, and Finance. Within a few hours of the opening of this program, select candidates in the Express entry were given a special privilege. They were permitted to submit an application for Nominee program of Nova Scotia even if they did not possess a job offer. British Columbia British Columbia has emerged as one among the Canada Provincial Nominee Programs that are targeting IT and tech workers in the last few months. The tech-only specific draws for six weeks from May to July influenced British Columbia to hold such a draw through its Provincial nominee program. It should be noted that this province is accepting graduates and workers in non-tech jobs also, as quoted by the CIC News. Manitoba Business immigrants and skilled workers have been at a huge advantage until this summer through the Provincial nominee program of Manitoba. Just recently Letters of advice to apply to 494 workers was offered through it. This letter is as good as ITA and permits an individual to apply for a nomination certificate under Provincial nominee program of Manitoba. Earlier this month Manitoba had announced for entrepreneurs that it had offered ITAs to 90 applicants through its business stream Provincial nominee program of Manitoba. Alberta So far in 2017, provincial nomination certificates to 3, 150 applicants have been offered by Immigrant nominee program of Alberta. The annual allocation of Alberta’s PNP is 5, 550 nominations. Currently, Albert has not aligned any of its PNPs with Canada’s Express entry program. However, applicants who have received the nomination certificate from Alberta are eligible to apply for a Canada PR with the government of Canada.
