Canada PNPs linked with the Express entry have made a dynamic start in 2018 and it was a busy month for them in January. The Government of Canada held two Express entry draws in the month of January. These were complemented by the commencement of 5 Canada PNPs or Provincial Nominee Programs aligned with the Express entry in the due course of the month.
Candidates in the Express entry who obtain a nomination from a province in Canada get 600 extra CRS points. This will ensure that they receive the ITA for Canada PR in the subsequent Express entry draw, as quoted by the CIC News.
Ontario:
A total of 720 NOIs were offered by the Ontario province through the 2 round held in January under the Human Capital Priorities stream. OINP now declares the CRS score range for every single round. It also reveals the date range in which it searched the Express entry pool for suitable profiles.
British Columbia:
Provincial Nominee Program British Columbia held 4 draws in the month of January. It offered ITAs to apply for nomination form the province to candidates in the Entrepreneur, Skills Immigration, and Express entry streams. It held 2 exclusive draws for the PNP BC initiative Tech Pilot that supports tech sector in the province to hire talents.
Manitoba:
The province of Manitoba offered invites to 155 candidates through the Provincial Nominee Program Manitoba’s latest pathway aligned with Express entry. This pathway was utilized by Manitoba for the first time.
Saskatchewan:
The Saskatchewan Express Entry sub-category International Skilled Worker opened for the first time accepting 400 applications. This is based on first served for first arrived. It was just one day before the draw held by Manitoba.
