Canada NS invites overseas Auditors and Accountants

Nova Scotia in Canada has offered ITAs to overseas Auditors and Accountants in the Express Entry pool. Express entry candidates with scores in the range 400 to 450 were targeted by the New Labour Market Priorities Stream.

The ITAs for overseas Auditors and Accountants were offered on 24 January. This was through the newly launched Labour Market Priorities Stream.

The 24 January draw was the first draw for the stream in 2019. The invited candidates were required to possess a minimum of 5 years of work experience. This is in National Occupational Classification 1111: Financial Accountants and Auditors, as quoted by the CIC News.

The candidates who were selected in this draw had submitted their profiles in Express Entry after or on 1 July 2018. Among other criteria, they had a CRS score of 400 to 450 in the Express Entry ranking.

The latest draw by Nova Scotia invited overseas Auditors and Accountants with scores as low as 400. Meanwhile, the latest Express Entry draw had invited candidates with CRS 438 and above.

Profiles in Express Entry are valid for 12 months. It must be noted here that NS invited only those candidates who submitted their profiles in Express Entry after or on 1 July 2018.

The latest draw held in Stream Labour Market Priorities also required the Express Entry candidates to have the following:

• Having completed a 3 or 4 years program at a Technical or Trade school, College, University or another institute OR a Bachelor’s degree
• 7 or higher score in Canadian Language Benchmark – CLB in French or English for writing, reading, listening and speaking
• Reference Letters from employers for demonstrating evidence of at least 5 years of NOC 1111 work experience
