Canada Express Entry 2015 has created a buzz among the skilled professionals across the world including India. Doctors, engineers, accountants, managers, hospitality professionals and others are submitting their profiles in the database pool, and awaiting results of the first draw expected by the last week of January.
Canada's Immigration Minister Chris Alexander announced that the first Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency will be sent out by the last week of January. After that, there will be a draw every two weeks.
Highest scoring candidates will be eligible for ITA. If not in one draw, another draw could send out an invitation to the lucky ones. However, those who do not receive an invite within one year from the date of submitting their profile in the pool will have to redo the whole process.
A senior official from Canada's immigration department said the whole process is very highly transparent. Candidates will be able to check and compare their score with others in the pool, and can also make changes to the profile as and when required. Example: Changes in work experience, completion of further education, change in family i.e. birth of a child, divorce, etc.
Keeping the profile updated will contribute to the score and in receiving an Invitation to Apply. Once an ITA is received by a candidate, he/she has 60 days to accept or reject the same. If accepted, a complete PR application has to be sent to CIC for PR processing which will be concluded within 6 months or less.
