Nigeria The office of the Vice President of Nigeria has announced that the nation will be processing business and tourist visas within 48 hours. This is amidst the largest economy in Africa attempting to come out of recession and enhance the appeal of the nation to attract overseas business and investor funds. Applicants of these Nigeria visas will now be intimated within 48 hours regarding the acceptance or rejection of their applications and this will be from immediate effect, as quoted by the Reuters. This move was preceded by the launch of online visa applications for business visas and to collect the same within 48 hours of arrival to Nigeria. Earlier to this launch, overseas immigrant business visa travelers had raised concerns that it was becoming difficult for them to arrive at the nation owing to the obtrusive officials of the Embassy. Paying heed to these concerns it was announced by the Nigeria Immigration Service that the nation will launch progressive digital arrival visa facility for the overseas immigrants, especially entrepreneurs who are inclined to invest in the nation. It had further elaborated that the initiative was a part of the ongoing efforts by the Enabling Business Environment Council of the President to attract overseas funds to the Nigeria.
