A new rule makes switching to the Business Manager Visa especially easy for exchange students in Japan.
Earlier, if an international student wanted to switch from a Student Visa to a Business Manager Visa, they could only do so after exiting the country. Such students, after course completion, had to return to their home country first and then apply for the Business Manager Visa.
However, Japan has introduced a new rule in the National Strategic Special Zones. Exchange students in these zones can now change their visa status without returning to their home country. They can even switch visas during their study in Japan, as per Izanau. However, they will need to meet all the eligibility criteria outlined above.
