British Columbia in Canada invites 91 in latest Tech Pilot draw The province of British Columbia in Canada has issued 91 invitations in the latest Tech Pilot draw held on April 21. As this was a Tech Pilot draw, candidates that got invitations were qualified registrants that had job offers in 29 key technology occupations. Minimum provincial score in the draw was 85.  With this latest draw, British Columbia has invited a total of 2,353 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination so far in 2020.  The April 21 draw was conducted under the Tech Pilot of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program [BC PNP]. Through the Tech Pilot, immigration candidates that have job offers in the technology sector in the province are issued invitations to apply for being provincially nominated for Canada PR. Weekly draws are held.  The Tech Pilot is not a separate stream as such. Those in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate subcategories under the streams of Skills Immigration [SI] and Express Entry BC [EEBC] streams were invited in the April 21 draw.  A points-based system – the Skills Immigration Registration System [SIRS] – is used by the BC PNP to determine if a candidate would be sent an invitation. The SIRS score is based on various factors like a job offer from an employer in BC, the level of education of the candidate etc.  Applicants that have received an invitation to apply will have up to 30 calendar days from the date of the invitation for submitting a complete application. The application is to be submitted via the Online registration system of the BC PNP.
