Air carrier British Airways has introduced its annual offer for the benefit of Indian students heading to the UK, Europe, US and Canada.
As per the offer, students can carry an extra piece of baggage weighing up to 23 kg per passenger, which is in addition to the one checked bag allowed. This is effective till 30 September.
This offer is applicable to all the 49 flights a week originating from Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi. The airlines has partnered with Airbnb, Credila Student Loans. HDFC, Jabong, and Matrix to offer more benefits and improve students’ travel feel further.
British Airways' Regional Commercial Manager, South Asia, Moran Birger, was quoted by the Hindu as saying that we understand that for students packing is bit of a challenge. He said their airline was full of pride to continue its established tradition of supporting students from India with the generous luggage leeway.
Their codeshare agreement with American Airlines allows them to offer their young customers an added advantage to choose from a wide network covering more than 200 destinations across the world.
Birger added that India was an important player of British Airways plans and the second biggest market after the UK.
