The best US visa pathway EB5 program also popular as the Golden Visa has been extended till 22 December 2017. This visa program was launched in 1990 by the US Congress. It allows an individual to make an investment of 500, 000 US dollars. This can be in either of the two Areas for Targeted Employment or TEA. It refers to a rural area outside a metro or US metro with high employment, as quoted by the Economic Times.

LD Capital Bridge Managing Director Tanuj Patel said that the extension of the EB5 program is welcome news for all the applicants. This is another conventional short term extension, added the MD of the commercial lending firm based in the US.

Even as the rules for H-1B visas got tougher this year, EB-5 visas are becoming increasingly popular. Patel said that more Indian students who are graduating from the universities I the US are choosing this visa. The reason is that EB-5 visa offers the Green Card to them in the shortest span, added Patel. Applications from India for this program shall continue to increase and it stands at the 6^th position at present, said Patel.

Elaborating the demography of the applicants from India, Patel said that students in the US and H-1B workers are applying for the EB-5 visa. Applicants also include families looking for relocation to the US and business owners, he added.
