For entry visas, commencing from 1 January 2017, the new single rates of the consular fees of Belarus have become effective in order to comply with the new rules of Belarus' Tax Code.
According to Belarusian Telegraph Agency, a visa per individual will cost €60, which is applicable for all types of visas, for which the number of entries is not regarded. On the other hand, a group visa per individual is priced at €10.
But for nationals of certain categories of countries such as Japan, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Serbia and Poland, different fees are applicable. Japanese and Serbians, especially, need not pay consular fees as per their bilateral pacts. Nationals of the Baltic States and Poland will continue to pay the discounted consular fees.
Visa applicants could visit the website of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus under the section of ‘Visas and consular issues’ for more information on the same.
The ministry added that this decision was another move to relax visa regulations for foreign nationals. It was also done with an aim to promote social, business and cultural networks and to boost inbound tourism, it said.
