Azerbaijan will issue e-visas within three hours from 30 August

Beginning from 30 August, foreign nationals and stateless persons will obtain an electronic visa of Azerbaijan within three hours through its ASAN Visa system even on its non-working days and holidays.

This has been made possible as a part of guaranteeing the completion of the presidential decree, dated 21 June 2017, on making alterations to the Regulations on the ASAN Visa system, which was given a go ahead by another presidential decree on 20 October 2016 on additional steps to develop and improve the ASAN Visa system.

Meanwhile, the ASAN Visa system was given birth to by the presidential decree of 1 June 2016 to facilitate the grant of electronic visas and ASAN Visa system’s creation. Henceforth, Foreign nationals and stateless persons will obtain visas in three steps, i.e. apply, pay and download e-Visa, within three hours

A one-entry document, apa.az says that e-visa’s validity for a period of 30 days. Eligible for it are nationals of 94 countries, listed by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and stateless persons who are permanent residents of these aforementioned countries.

Foreigners are offered group visa applications through the ASAN Visa system. Eligible for group visa applications are people numbering between two and 10. It is said that so far 167,337 foreign nationals and stateless persons have secured e-visas via the ASAN Visa system.
