More than 2.60 lakh students arrived in Australia till July 2022

Australia welcomed more than 2.60 lakh students to study in Australia and go for higher education. The students arrived after the restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic were lifted. Australia has introduced a new programme for Indian students called Study Australia Industry Experience Programme.

As per the Australian Trade and Investment Commissioner-South Asia Abdul Ekram, this programme has been introduced to enhance the employability skills of the students.

Road show on Study Australia

The Australian Trade and Investment Commission organized a road show on Study Australia. The aim of the show is to:

• Provide information regarding study in Australia
• Interaction with the representatives of the university
• Provide information related to scholarships and visas for the overseas students

Ekram told that they are working closely with the Indian students to help them in making the right decisions for studying in Australia. The road show has provided the relevant information to the students, their parents, and heads of the institutes.

Ekram added that students will receive world-class education which will lead them towards the strong pathways of their careers.

Number of students arrived in Australia

From mid-December 2021 till July 2022, Australia welcomed more than 2.60 lakhs student visa holders. Representatives from Australian universities provided detailed information about security, student’s life, and scholarships.
