Australia has several scholarships options for overseas students

The overseas students have several options for scholarships in Australia. It is good to have a comprehensive view of all Australian scholarships that are available prior to submission of your application for the same. This will ensure that all avenues have been explored before committing yourself to a particular pathway.

On the other hand, scholarships application deadlines generally end sooner, as quoted by the Study international.  Most of these mandate the overseas students to secure a place in the university prior to even becoming eligible to apply. University Scholarships

Majority of the scholarships are awarded by the university directly. You must ensure to check their websites to get an understanding of what is being offered. Below are a few scholarships by universities that you can consider:

• UK Excellence Bond University Scholarship

General Scholarships

Overseas students have 3 state scholarships options in Australia. It must be noted here that these are often offered only to Postgraduate applicants.

The Endeavour Awards – It is a merit-based competitive scheme offered by the Government of Australia. The intake of applications closes by late June.

The Northcote Graduate Scholarships – It is an award given by the Australia-Britain Society. The intake of applications closes by late August.

The Leverhulme Trust Postgraduate Study Abroad Scholarships – These scholarships are open to anyone who has a degree at the Bachelor level and has been a UK resident for minimum 5 years. The application cycle is from September till January mid.
