Armenia has offered visa waiver to nationals of Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, and Singapore. Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan said that from 19 March 2018 the visa waivers will come in to effect for these four nationalities.
The Minister added that visa-free travel for these countries will result in creating an encouraging atmosphere for increasing relations in the economy. This will also enhance the flow of travelers to the nation, said the Deputy Foreign Minister.
The session agenda of the Armenian government had included the draft resolution for the visa waiver to nationals of Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, and Singapore. This is dated 6 March 2018. It reads that the nationals of the 4 nations will be allowed to enter and stay in Armenia for maximum 180 days out of every 12 months. Thus, these nationals get liberated from the visa requirement, as quoted by the Armen Press AM.
The Armenian government has said that the decision to offer visa waiver will accentuate the tourism sector of Armenia. This will also be a fresh start for acknowledgment of bilateral spiritual, cultural, and historical values. It will also outline and develop innovative areas for mutual collaboration, added the government.
The aim of the visa-free travel is to relax visa relations with Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, and Singapore. It will also help to enhance the numbers of tourists from these nations to Armenia. Thus the government of Armenia has approved the visa waiver decision.
