The Express Entry draw held on April 11 was the largest for 2018 as it offered ITAs for 3, 500 Canada PRs. On the other hand, the threshold CRS scores required to receive the ITA lowered to 444. This has been revealed by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
The minimum scores in the CRS required to receive ITA are 2 points lesser than the previous draw held on 26 March. In this round, the threshold CRS score was 446. This round was also held 12 days after the earlier draw held on March 14 in which the CRS scores decreased by 10 points over the preceding draw.
The April 11 draw has also broken the recent trend of 3,000 invites being offered for Canada PRs in individual Express entry draws. The last 4 draws from February 7 have offered 3000 ITAs each, as quoted by the CIC News.
The rule of tie-breaker was used by the IRCC even in the April 11 draw. The time and date were 8:25:40 UTC and 26 March. This implies that all applicants with 444 plus CRS scores received the ITAs. Also, those who possessed 444 scores and submitted the profiles prior to this time also received the ITAs.
Aspiring immigrants to Canada intending to qualify through any one of the federal economic immigration programs must first enter the Express entry pool. They will then be assigned CRS scores based on an assessment of their profiles for diverse factors.
Canada has set multi-year migration levels target plan for the years 2018-2020. The Federal government has set an immigrant intake target of 74, 900 annually. This will be through the 3 economic immigration programs that are managed through the Express entry system.
