Alberta invites a total of 850 in two draws held in the last week of August

Alberta has released the details of the most recent draws held by the province. Two provincial draws were held by Alberta in the last week of August 2021. Alberta is among the 9 provinces and two territories that are a part of the Canadian Provincial Nominee Program [PNP]. A total of 400 invitations were issued by Alberta on August 30, 2021. Another 450 had been invited to apply in the previous August 23 draw by Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program [AINP]. Invitations issued by Alberata under the PNP are officially referred to as Notification of Interest Letters [NOIs]. Those invited can now proceed to submit their application for being nominated by the AINP, under Canadian PNP, for permanent residence in Canada.

Alberta might select federal Express Entry candidates – on the basis of the information available in the IRCC pool – and send them NOIs in their IRCC profile. Those invited to apply by the AINP will be required to apply within 2 weeks of receiving the invitation, provided they are interested in being considered by Alberta PNP for this stream.

An IRCC Express Entry might receive an NOI by Alberta PNP if they – have a minimum ranking score of CRS 300, have stated an interest in immigrating to Alberta permanently, and  are working in an occupation supporting the economic development and diversification within the province. Certain “adaptability factors”, such as a job offer in Alberta, might increase the probability of an IRCC Express Entry candidate being invited by the AINP.

  With the latest provincial draw, a total of 4,007 NOIs have been issued by Alberta in the 18 AINP draws held so far in 2021. A PNP nomination guarantees an IRCC invitation for an Express Entry candidate.
