[caption id="attachment_1439" align="alignleft" width="300"]Accounting 'Not Removed' from Skilled Occupation List Australian Government Denied Removing Accounting from Skilled Occupation List for 2015.[/caption] Responding to the reports that accounting is shelved from the Skilled Occupation List (SOL) for 2015, the Abbott Government clarified that the news is incorrect. On Tuesday, the news broke out that Accounting has been removed from the SOL and that no applications will be accepted for the said profession. The Internet went abuzz with the rumors sending a panic wave across to the aspiring accounting students in Australia and professionals all over the world. A spokesperson for Michaelia Cash from Immigration and Border Protection said, "there are no plans to remove accounting from the skilled occupation list for the 2015 program year, and there are processes in place to remove or add occupations to or from the skilled occupation list and these procedures will be followed as per the usual practice.” The spokesperson further said that the Department of Industries is unlikely to suggest any recommendations for SOL until the start of 2015. Applicants from accounting background will have to hurry up now and file for Australia Skilled Migrant Visa, before any  such rumor turns out to be true. Get skill assessment, submit Expression of Interest, receive state sponsorship, and submit a visa application before it's too late.
