New Zealand

The US and UK immigrants are increasingly arriving at New Zealand with a hike of 50% in their arrivals in 2017. They are choosing to settle in New Zealand far away from the filthy politics and hustle and bustle of urban life. The arrivals of US and UK immigrants to New Zealand have increased much more after Trump became the US President and the UK quit the EU.

In 2017, 45% more US nationals settled in New Zealand when compared with 2016. 2, 127 US immigrants were offered the New Zealand PR and visas for the long term. Additional 5,000 US nationals arrived at the nation on Provisional Work Visas and Student Visas.

On the other hand, the numbers of UK immigrants settling in New Zealand increased by almost 50% reaching 6, 371 in 2017 from 3, 614 in 2016. Additional 15, 000 UK nationals arrived at the nation through Provisional Work Visas and Student Visas.

The figures for the US and UK nationals settling in New Zealand have been released by Statistics New Zealand. It concluded that these migrants are attracted by the steady rate of growth of the economy of New Zealand, as quoted by the Visa Reporter.

New Zealand has steadily attracted more than 25,000 nationals of Australia through Provisional Work Visas and Student Visas. The next highest source nation for immigrants is the UK. It is followed by India, China, the Philippines, South Africa, and the US.

Xerox CEO Rod Drury said that every single US venture capitalist that he has come across owns one or two properties in New Zealand. Moreover, the US and the UK are taking a tough immigration stand. The citizens of these two nations disagree to this and prefer to immigrate to other nations, added Drury.
