3,900 new Canada PR invites to immigrant applicants have been offered by the Government of Canada. This was in rare Thursday draw held on 15 November. The threshold Comprehensive Ranking Score system score was 449.
The minimum CRS score in the latest draw was 7 points higher than the earlier Express Entry Draw. It was held on 29 October which had a threshold score of 442, as quoted by the CIC News.
The rule of tie-break was adopted by IRCC in this draw as well. The time and date were 12.41.42 UTC and 16 September. This means that every candidate with a score of 449 plus received PR Invite. Along with them all those who scored 449 and lodged their profiles prior to the specified details received new Canada PR invites.
At times more time is allowed to lapse between 2 draws. More candidates enter the profiles in the Express Entry pool and this can result in an increase in the threshold CRS score. In the current scenario, 17 days had elapsed between 2 consecutive draws. This is 3 days extra over the normal 14 days period.
Candidates in Express Entry pool have a number of ways to enhance their CRS scores.
An option that is increasingly popular is through nomination from a PNP - Provincial Nominee Program stream. It must be aligned with Express Entry. This offers an extra 600 CRS points and ensures an ITA for Canada PR.
PNPs of Canada permit participating territories and provinces to nominate a specific number of candidates. This is for immigrating to Canada as Permanent Residents. Each territory and province has minimum one immigration stream that is aligned with the Express Entry system.
