3000 Canada PR invites have been offered on February 7 Express Entry Draw to candidates with at least 442 Comprehensive Ranking System score. These candidates can now apply for Canada Permanent Residency. The 7 February draw is the latest crucial development for 2018. The minimum CRS score has decreased and the numbers of ITAs have increased.
The 3000 Canada PR invites or ITAs offered in this draw is 250+ over the earlier 6 draws that all offered 2, 750 invites. The CRS threshold of 442 represents a decrease of 2 points when compared with the earlier draw held on 24 January. This is also in conformity with the 2018 trend of reduction in CRS points, as quoted by the CIC News.
Till now, all 3 draws held in 2018 had CRS threshold scores well lower than the initial draws of 2017. In this year a record number of lower CRS scores were also established. The rule for tie-breaker was used by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada even in this round.
For the 7 February draw the date and time for the tie-break was 29 May 2017 and 7:01: 15 UTC. It implies that all candidates who had 442 plus score received the ITAs. Also, those candidates who had entered the Express entry pool prior to this time and date and with 442 CRS score received the ITAs.
Express Entry aligned Provincial Nomination Programs also had a busy schedule after the draw held on 24 January. During this time PNP streams aligned with the Express entry also held a draw for candidates in Express entry. These include Manitoba, New Brunswick, and Ontario.
600 additional points are offered to candidates in Express entry who receive a nomination from a province. This assures a Canada PR invite in the subsequently held draw.
