3 Fake Visa Agents booked by Vadodara Police

3 Fake Visa Agents have been booked by Vadodara Gorwa Police for cheating many people. They had assured Tourist Visas and even Work Visas in overseas nations to the victims. The agents collected 30 lakh rupees and even took the passports of the people.

 

The Police have said that it will soon begin interrogating the fake visa agents who run a consultancy agency. They informed that a resident of Gorwa Hiren Patel has lodged an FIR against Ruturaj Barot who is a resident of Patan and Rajendrasinh Chawda. A resident of Mumbai Salim Sheikh has also been named in the FIR, as quoted by the Times of India.

 

Hiren Patel informed the Police that the 3 had assured a Europe Tourist Visa to 8 individuals and charged 12 lakh rupees. They even sent a fake visa with a bogus stamp to the victims through Whatsapp. The accused gave back passport to 1 of the victims that did not have any visa stamp. The passports of others were however not returned. Extra 3 lakh rupees were demanded by the accused from the victims who were even threatened.

 

Afzhal Mirza another complainant told the Police that the 3 accused assured Work Visas to 8 of his relatives in Dubai and Bangkok. However, no visas were received, he added. But when his relatives arrived in Bangkok and Dubai, they were not offered any Work Visas. The accused had collected 18.50 lakh rupees from them and did not return it.

 

The Police said that the accused deserted the victims after assuring them overseas jobs and took away all the money.
