3, 264 applicants have been offered the ITA for immigrating to Canada on August 2 Express Entry Draw and these candidates can now apply for the Canada PR. The applicants who received the ITA had scores of 441 or more in the Comprehensive Ranking System.
The principal applicant will be permitted to be accompanied by spouse, dependent children, family members or even common-law-partners. It has been aimed by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to process the applications for immigrating to Canada that will be submitted within 180 days.
The threshold for CRS scores for this draw was just 1 point more than the previous draw held on July 12, 2017. It must be noted that there was a gap of 3 weeks between these two draws that permitted more candidates to enter the pool. This also allowed the existing candidates a chance to enhance their total scores. Thus there would have been upward pressure on the threshold for CRS scores, as quoted by the CIC News.
Whenever there have been lesser gaps between two consecutive Express entry draws, the CRS threshold scores have decreased. The same pattern could emerge when the gap diminishes between future draws giving chance to a number of applicants for immigrating to Canada.
Excluding the qualified candidates under the National Skilled Trades Category, the record for lowest CRS scores till now is 413 in the draw held on May 31, 2017. The trend of enhanced ITAs being offered in 2017 is due to the fact that Express entry has emerged as the chief propellant of Canada’s economic immigration. Only a handful of backlog applications now remains that were submitted to IRCC prior to 2015.
