2,000 applicants have received the Canada PR ITA on November 8 Express entry draw held by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada. These invited candidates can now submit their applications for Permanent Residence in Canada. The CRS score of the candidate with the lowest rank who received the Canada PR ITA was 458.
The draw held on November 8 was the 77th draw to be held after Express entry was launched on 2015 January. It is the 27th draw for the year 2017. The draw was the first of its kind to have operated under a new procedure. The reason was that several candidates were tied for their CRS scores, as quoted by the CIC News.
Express entry ranks the profiles according to their time and date of submission. Profiles in the pool from a longer duration are prioritized for Canada PR ITA over latest profiles. This tie breaker policy was first announced by IRCC in June 2016. This was a strategic planning for the future. Thus it is possible that all candidates with 458 points scores received an invitation in this draw.
Two express entry draws were signed by the Immigration Minister of Canada last week. In these draws only the candidates eligible through Federal Skilled Trades Class were invited. Candidates with a provincial nomination also received the ITA.
Candidates who receive provincial nomination via enhanced PNP stream aligned with Express entry receive extra 600 CRS points. This means that they will receive the ITA for Canada PR in the subsequent Express entry draw.
Draws specific to programs that were held last week are not a norm but exception in Express entry. 795 candidates received ITAs in these draws. This factor would have contributed to the comparatively lesser number of ITAs offered in the latest draw.
