2 cases of fake documents being offered by Immigration Agents have been exposed by the Bureau of Immigration and Cyberabad police. In the first case, the cops unearthed a fraudulent documents scam at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Three individuals have been arrested in this regard.
In the second case, 2 agents from East Godavari have been arrested. They have cheated a job hopeful from Maharashtra. These agents offered a Tourist Visa to the aspiring immigrant in the place of Work Visa, as quoted by the Times of India.
The police authorities were scrutinizing the documents of the travelers heading to the Gulf nations. It was then they found that some individuals were producing fake Protector of Emigrant documents. These were from Kadapa and East Godavari districts in Andhra Pradesh. 3 individuals have been arrested by the Cyberabad police in this regard.
PV Padmaja Deputy Commissioner of Police Shamshabad elaborated on these cases of fake documents offered by Immigration Agents. She said that 2 separate cases have been registered under IPC sections for forgery and cheating. This is based on the complaint filed by the BOI and the victims, added Padmaja.
